Writers play an important role at OX. Writers assist in the development of content, copy and concepts across a wide range of mediums. This includes campaign concepts, enterprise websites, print and OOH advertising, online advertising, brand experiences, user interface elements, email marketing and much more. Reporting to the Director of Content Strategy and Writing, Writers are capable communicators interested in solving complex challenges and developing original solutions.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with all disciplines to craft creative concepts and copy for digital products, experiences, online and offline branding, and integrated marketing communications solutions.
Translate creative direction and creative briefs into engaging and effective messaging and copy concepts.
Have an opinion on brand voice and messaging direction.
Collaborate with clients as a brand journalist to uncover the stories and insights that lead to meaningful messaging and concepts.
Participate in research, concept creation and ideation for OX clients and teams.
Learn and collaborate with peers, mentors and managers in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Take the initiative to self-educate on client offerings, value propositions, competitive set and differentiators.
Requirements
Bachelor’s from an accredited university program with an emphasis on English, communications, advertising, journalism or other related field.
1-3 years of experience in a copywriting role, preferably in a professional services or agency environment.
Exceptional writing skills, with an ability and interest to write in a range of voices and styles for diverse channels and audiences.
Demonstrated enthusiasm for digital trends and technologies, including best practices and emerging trends.
Understanding of marketing principles and their executions
Strategic brainstorming, campaign development and creative execution.
Ability to work on more than one project at a time and prioritize own time allocations.
An appreciation of the relationships between copy, art and experience, and how all three amount to the end creative deliverable.
Desire to learn and apply skills in a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment.
Passion for great storytelling and systems thinking.
A willingness to learn, grow and achieve.
