Project Coordinator

Job Description

The Project Coordinator will work closely with other Project Managers to help ensure that projects are resourced, completed on time and budget to the satisfaction of the agency/clients. You will be responsible for various project tasks and for ensuring that they meet time and quality goals. As a Project Coordinator, you will be expected to manage small-scale projects with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assist project manager and client strategy team in project planning and setup
  • Participate in developing project documentation (i.e. kickoff deck, brief, trackers)
  • Independently define and execute project tasks throughout the lifecycle 
  • Create and maintain project timelines; communicate dependencies and risks
  • Communicate hours and tasks budgeted to team members
  • Schedule and attend internal meetings, and prepare and distribute meeting notes
  • Maintain project status documentation and keep team informed on a weekly basis
  • Escalate questions and issues to manager in a timely fashion
  • Balance a sense of urgency with calm and confidence at all times

Required Experience

  • 0-3 years of project management experience at a design, marketing, or digital agency
  • Previous internship in project management or similar preferred
  • Ability to multitask, working independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Adept at time management to facilitate involvement in multiple projects
  • Passion for organization and problem-solving
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative and exemplify a “get it done” attitude – a demonstrated bias for action
  • Proficiency with online collaboration tools (Google Drive or Microsoft 365), proficiency with Word and Excel, experience with project management software is a bonus

Location 

Chicago (Remote with plans to return to our Chicago offices by Jan 2022 if not earlier)
